Most varieties of hemp exhibit some phenotypic variability when grown from seed. Determining which phenotype is best for your location and farming practices takes time. The best way is to grow multiple plants from seed, take clones of each, and grow them out in your field while reserving either the original seedling or clones of it in vegetative growth. Carefully compare each phenotype for vigor, yield, and potency to determine which one(s) are best for your operation. Then be very careful to keep your chosen ones alive through the off-season so they can be used to create all the clones you want for your field.
